Evaluating Internet Resources
1. DOMAIN
What is the domain? (.org, .edu, gov, com, .net?) Remember, most domains can be authored by any user, but a .gov or a .edu are examples of domains
that are authenticated under their domain agency, and are usually more credible.
2. AUTHOR
What is the author? Is information about the author available? Is he/she a credible source?
3. CURRENCY
When was the website last updated? Is the information current or up-to-date?
4. OBJECTIVITY
Does this website show a bias? Is the organization someone who has a strong viewpoint or opinion?
5. VALIDITY
Is the website professional and easy to navigate? Do the links work? Is there advertising on the website?
